Happy Mother's Day!

It is the 100th Anniversary of Mother's Day!  In 1914 Woodrow Wilson signed a measure establishing Mother's Day as the second Sunday in May. Moms come in many different packages. Today we honor that person who was there for you and made you feel safe, loved, important and special.

The children's book I always think of on Mother's Day is Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. The theme is the cycle of life. I cry every time I read it.

I would sing my favorite lines in the book to my kids.
"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living,
My baby you'll be"

Don't my furry stitching pals have a rough life?

Hope You are enjoying these Spring Days. Some lovely blooms I'm appreciating - some inside and some outside.
