Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day to remember the more than one million men and women who gave their lives in service of the United States of America in the last 200+ years.  Flags should remain at half staff until noon in their memory.  Sadly, very few homes in my neighborhood flew the flag this weekend. Hope you enjoyed family, friends, and good food. Some stitching/sewing time, too.

A few more quilts from Quilt Market.
Each one of these log cabin blocks is about 1". Yup - an inch or maybe a tad more. I love tiny blocks like this.

The colors on this quilt are brilliant. The Designer has a sense of humor, too.

The geranium "biokovo" ground cover is blooming.

Waiting for my favorite lilies of the valley to bloom.  These tiny flowers give off such a tremendous scent.  Despite its' diminutive look, all parts of the plant are poisonous to people, cats and dogs.  So mine grow in a spot where doggies can't get to them. Love stitching them, too.
